What it is

C-terminal tripeptide of α-MSH with potent anti-inflammatory activity in the gut, skin and joints—without the pigmentation effects of full α-MSH.

Mechanism of action

Inhibits NF-κB signaling, decreases pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6) intracellularly. Improves epithelial barrier function in colitis models.

Reported benefits

  • IBD, ulcerative colitis, eczema and psoriasis support (animal models)
  • Often combined with BPC-157 for gut protocols
  • Topical use for chronic dermatitis

Evidence notes

Strong rodent data; small dermatology pilots. Considered safe at typical research doses.
