Safety at a glance

Full safety details

Most-reported side effects

  • Cortisol/prolactin spike
  • Water retention

Don't use if…

  • Active cancer
  • Pregnancy
  • Heart-rhythm disorders without supervision

What it is

Strongest GH-releasing GHRP available; also a CD36 ligand with cardioprotective effects in ischemic injury models. Tachyphylaxis emerges quickly so it's typically pulse-cycled.

Mechanism of action

Agonist at GHS-R1a (ghrelin receptor) producing very high acute GH release; also engages CD36 on cardiac tissue with anti-apoptotic effects.

Reported benefits

  • Strongest GH pulse of the GHRPs
  • Possible cardioprotection (preclinical)
  • Less hunger than GHRP-6 but more than Ipamorelin

Evidence notes

Italian/Canadian human studies show large GH peaks; long-term safety with chronic use is limited because of tachyphylaxis.
