What it is

A small-molecule inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT) — an enzyme over-expressed in obese adipose tissue and aged muscle. Sold alongside peptides; distinct chemistry.

Mechanism of action

Inhibits NNMT, raising cellular NAD+ and SAM availability and suppressing white adipocyte expansion. Improves muscle stem-cell regeneration in aged mice.

Reported benefits

  • Reduced fat-mass gain and improved insulin sensitivity in rodents
  • Restored muscle stem cell function in aged mice
  • Synergistic with NAD+ and exercise interventions

Evidence notes

Preclinical only. No IND/FDA approval. Sold as research compound.
